- Invoice Processing:
- Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
- Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Obtain necessary approvals for payment.
- Payment Processing:
- Process payments through various methods, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
- Ensure payments are made within terms to avoid late fees or penalties.
- Reconcile payments with vendor statements.
- Supplier Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate supplier records in the accounting system.
- Update supplier information as needed, including address changes, contact information, and tax identification numbers.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare reports on accounts payable activities, such as aging reports and cash flow projections.
- Analyze payment trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation of invoices, payments, and vendor communications.
- Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as needed.
- Relationship Management:
- Cultivate positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline processes and optimize vendor relationships.
Educational Qualification:-
Qualifications:
- BCOM/BBA/MBA Finance
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
